Aditya Hridaya Stotram is a hymn associated with Aditya (Lord Surya, the Sun God) and was recited by the sage Agastya to Lord Ram on the battlefield before His duel with the demon king Ravan. By reciting this "blessing of blessings", Sage Agastya promises victory over all enemies, complete prosperity, purification from sin, anxiety, and grief, as well as the gifts of longevity and never-ending supreme bliss.
